The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has just announced its new flagship for this 2025, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, a smartphone focused on photography and maximum performance.
Its cameras with optics optimized by Leica are the star of this terminal, since its rear circular module treasures 4 cameras, the main one with a sensor of no less than 1 inch that promises to capture quality images with minimum brightness. Its 200 MP telephoto also promises to make the mouths of photography enthusiasts water, taking the photographic experience to a very high level.
The battery also stands out, as it uses silicon carbide technology that increases density without increasing weight or size. Its chassis is made of aluminum, with IP68 certification and protection for the Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 screen, a set that gives it a good resistance to falls.
As engine we have the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite that being manufactured in 3 nm will provide high efficiency in all aspects. Finally, the operating system is Android 15 with the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 layer and in the Chinese version we have support for satellite telecommunication.
Specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra
This new high-end terminal includes a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC (SM8750-AB), an Octa Core manufactured in 3 nm. Inside we have Oryon V2 Phoenix CPU cores, 2 high power cores that reach up to 4.32 Ghz and 6 other efficient processors that reach 3.53 Ghz. The GPU is an Adreno 830 that allows us to play demanding titles without problems.
The RAM memory has options with 12/16 GB LPDDR5X although we can expand it virtually as usual. For storage, we have versions with 256 / 512 GB or 1 TB UFS 4.1 high speed, it does not have micro SD.
Display and other features
Its screen is an LTPO AMOLED with size of 6.73 inches (ca. 17 centimetres), resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, 120 Hz refresh, brightness of 1000 to 6500 Nits compatible with Dolby Vision and includes light and proximity sensors. As protection, we have Corning Gorilla Glass 7i of the latest generation and IP68/IP69 certifications.
For selfies we have a 32 MP camera on the front, while on the back we have a main LYT-900 1-inch Sony 50 MP sensor, 50 MP wide-angle, 200 MP 70 mm periscopic telephoto and another 20 MP 100 mm telephoto. We also find ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and multi-satellite GPS.
As for connection interfaces, in this new phone we have at our disposal a USB-C 3.2 gen2 port for data and recharging. The battery is 6000 mAh with 90 W fast charging, 80 W wireless and for audio we have two Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res compatible speakers and 4 microphones.
