We already have for sale in Chinese stores the new XIAOMI 4S a Box of this popular brand that is but a small evolution of its box focused entirely on the Chinese market.
A Box that can be virtually useless outside China ta that has a system, based on Android 6.0, (NOT Android TV), in Chinese and also does not have the streaming DRM certificates you need for Netflix or other Western services. In addition, the changes with respect to the Xiaomi 4 are minimal, as it is only improved in the section of Wifi connectivity that improves to double-band aC. In short, a mere curiosity beyond the Chinese borders, better buy the Xiaomi Mi Box S or a Chromecast with Google TV if we do not want to throw our money away.
SoC, RAM and Storage
The Xiaomi Mi BOX 4S includes an Amlogic S905L Quad Core SoC with ARM-Cortex A53 processors and a Mali-450mp5 ARM GPU with support for Dolby and DTS audio decoding. It also has 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of eMMc storage memory, an exact configuration to that of its predecessor.
Other specifications
With respect to wireless connectivity we have Dual Band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.1. As for connectors we find a USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.0 output and jack for analog audio and video output. This version also includes a Bluetooth remote control with a microphone for voice recognition, although as we mentioned, the whole system is in CHINESE.
