Xiaomi has just introduced its new Xiaomi Amazfit Verge smart watch, a wearable that differs substantially in its appearance from the previous Xiaomi smartwatch. The differences go beyond the aesthetic because in this new model we have among others with an AMOLED screen in Color, GPS or a voice assistant that justify the rise in its price which this time stands around $119 (€100) in China. A complete smartwatch that has 11 sport modes but that is currently only available in Chinese version.
The touch screen of the Xiaomi Amazfit Verge is circular with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and mounts an AMOLED panel that facilitates its outdoor viewing protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also includes IP68 certification against dust and splash. The engine of this new smartwatch is a Dual Core SoC with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage memory, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, heart rate sensor and a 390 mAh battery that allows up to 5 days of continuous and intensive use.
It also has a voice assistant called Xiao with which we can communicate thanks to the microphone and speaker included in the plastic chassis. Through this assistant we can also control other domestic products of the Xiaomi ecosystem with which this smartwatch can be linked.
