Xiaomi Mi BOX 4 is the new TV-Box of Xiaomi that we saw a few months ago in detail in our review of its Chinese version, in it we already indicated that we would surely see a version of that hardware in the West and effectively thanks to a leak of the organism of FCC certification from the USA we have the first images. This agency is responsible for validating the design to meet the requirements of emissions and product quality before the sale in that country, so we will soon see it in the Walmart stores.
SoC, RAM and storage
Xiaomi Mi BOX 4 with reference MDZ-22-AB includes a SoC Amlogic Quad Core called S905L that surely in its US version becomes the S905L-H with certificates for DD and DTS audio. Based on the Chinese version this model should have, with 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage memory eMMc, ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1. In terms of connectivity level we have the usual in the Box of Xiaomi, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.0 output and jack for analog audio and video output.
Other features
This version includes a Bluetooth remote control with microphone for voice recognition compatible with Google Assistant, as a novelty highlight the addition of a LIVE function that seems oriented to live streaming channels, something that with Android TV 8 Oreo is enhanced and possibly used as a hook in that territory. Otherwise as we see we have the same design of the Chinese version and the same ports, but as with the current Xiaomi Mi Box 3 International we will have Chromecast and all certificates to see the most popular streaming services in 4K quality or FullHD.
