SoC, RAM and storage
The new Xiaomi Mi Box S features an Amlogic processor from the S905 family, perhaps the same S905X-H SoC from its predecessor, a Quad Core with 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU. On the board we have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from using a USB drive. A configuration with a fast SoC and enough RAM to move any multimedia file without problems and above all to execute the most popular streaming services.
Other features
The Xiaomi Mi Box S includes at connectivity level has new ac Wifi adapter that also integrates Bluetooth 4.2 as a novelty. The included connectors are the same as in the previous version, a single USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.0a 4K@60fps video output with HDR support and audio jack with integrated SPDIF output. As is logical we have all the DRM certificates needed for the most popular streaming services, we will have Netflix 4K available and also Amazon Prime Video 4K although we will have to load the APK manually, also has integrated Chromecast and DD and DTS audio certificates.
