We already have the official announcement of the new tablet Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, a product that has been made to wait and that seems to indicate a slight reborn of the tablets that left behind its golden age with the departure of the iPad. The new Xiaomi tablet has quite correct specifications, FHD screen included and a price adjusted according to the times we live in the tablet sector. A new Xiaomi product that is more than correct for use in the domestic environment and that also has a version with 4G-LTE to use it anywhere.
SoC, RAM and storage
As we have already mentioned the engine of the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is a Snapdragon 660 SoC, an Octa Core with a pair of clusters of 4 cores Kyro 260 each. The most powerful of these clusters customized by Qualcomm reaches 2.2Ghz while the second remains at 1.8Ghz while the GPU is an Adreno 530. It has versions of 3 / 4GB of RAM and 32 / 64GB of storage memory, in this model we will not have a microSD card reader.
Screen and other features
The touch screen is an 8-inch IPS 16:10 OGS with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels that includes in its upper part a brightness sensor and a 5 MP camera with microphone and facial recognition software for unlocking, in the back we have another 13 MP camera. It also has WiFi dual-band 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, 6600 mAh battery with fast charge up to 10W, a audio jack and a USB Type-C port for data and recharge.
The operating system is MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and at the design level we continue with narrow frames and a metal body with stereo speakers in its lower back. The measurements are 7.83 x 5.2 x 0.31 inches (200 x 120 x 7.9 mm) and the weight of 0.75 lb (342 g).
