As part of the latest product launch in the Xiaomi Ecosystem, two of the devices we were most looking forward to were unveiled, the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick and the new Xiaomi Mi Band 5 sports wristband.
We already have these two items listed in some Xiaomi official websites an even at Amazon, and we know their price, in both cases we will have to pay $39.99 (39.99€), although we still have to wait until they are available.
Xiaomi Mi TV Stick
This new Xiaomi Mi TV Stick this device only reaches FullHD resolutions, it mounts the AMlogic SoC S805Y which reaches 1.2 GHz. This SoC is a Quad Core manufactured with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-450 MP3 GPU up to 750 MHz. In this new Xiaomi Stick we stay with only 1 GB of RAM that will limit multitasking and 8 GB of storage oriented only to have streaming apps installed.
In terms of connectivity we have integrated Chromecast to share screen, we have WiFi aC Dual Band and Bluetooth 4.2. Given its small size we have only a front HDMI connector and a micro USB port for power. A Bluetooth remote control with a microphone for Google Assistant voice is included and can be launched from the dedicated button. It is compatible with Dolby Digital and DTS audio, so we can play any audio file in KODI.

Xiaomi My Band 5
The new Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is pretty much the same as the Mi Band 4, we’re counting on that if we have a slightly bigger screen and finally have a magnetic charger. In this new one we have a sensor to measure the blood pressure, a function to use it as a remote control for cameras of our smartphone, a stress level meter and a system to control the female cycles.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 includes a 1.2-inch AMOLED color screen (0.95″ on the Mi Band 4) with a resolution of 360 x 180 pixels. We also have Bluetooth 5.1, barometer and heart rate sensor improved from the previous version. At a sports level, it adds the ability to monitor 5 new sports such as weight lifting, rowing machine, yoga, jumping and elliptical and integrates into the app the functions developed by PAI Health that monitor our physical health with all the data collected.
