The XIAOMI Pad 8 is now officially on sale in Spain. It is an 11.2-inch tablet with excellent specifications and a relatively affordable price.
The screen on this model is an 11.1-inch 3.2K display, Dolby Vision compatible and with a 3:2 aspect ratio, making it ideal for reading documents and productivity tasks. The screen is also compatible with the new Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus. Inside, we have the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, which improves on the previous generation by 31% in CPU, 49% in graphics power, and 44% in AI performance. This processor is very close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but at a much more reasonable price.
The battery is 9200 mAh, but its dimensions remain very compact, as it is only 5.75 mm thick and weighs 485 grams. The operating system is Android 16 with the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 layer , which includes the Xiaomi HyperAI artificial intelligence suite. Finally, its audio system stands out, with 4 Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers.
XIAOMI Pad 8 specifications
This new tablet includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Octa Core SoC manufactured in 4 nm. This chip reaches up to 3.2 GHz in its ARMCortex-X1 core, has three other ARM Cortex-A720 cores that reach up to 3.0 GHz, and two ARM Cortex-A720 cores that reach up to 2.0 GHz. In terms of graphics, it has an Adreno GPU, about which we have no data, but which uses the Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0 to generate extra frames with the help of artificial intelligence. It also has a Hexagon NPU for artificial intelligence tasks.
This smartphone comes in versions with 12/16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and options with 256/512 GB of high-speed UFS storage memory.
Display and other features
The XIAOMI Pad 8 has an11.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 3200 × 2136 pixels, a maximum brightness of 800 nits, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a 3:2 screen ratio.
The front camera is 8 MP and on the back we have a 13 MP camera with a small LED flash. In terms of audio, there are four speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, and two microphones. There is also a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1 port, Wi-Fi 7 wireless connectivity, and Bluetooth 6. The battery is 9200 mAh and has 67 W fast charging.
