The new Xiaomi REDMI M100 Pro was unveiled in China a smartphone aiming to carve out a niche in the competitive mid-range market with some interesting specs for the price.
The phone also stands out for its 6.67-inch AMOLED display, featuring a high 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, an evolution of the Dimensity 7300 with manufacturer-specific enhancements. This SoC outperforms the previous Dimensity 7050 by 25% in CPU performance and 20% in GPU performance thanks to its new Arm Mali-G615, which is more than sufficient for demanding Android games.
The operating system is Android 16 with the brand’s custom HyperOS 3 overlay. The device measures 162 × 74 × 8.5 mm and weighs 190 g.
Xiaomi REDMI M100 Pro Specifications
The SoC in this new Xiaomi smartphone is the recently released MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, an octa-core processor manufactured on a 4-nm process. It features 4 ARM Cortex-A78 processors clocked at up to 2.5 GHz and 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The GPU is a Mali-G615 MC2 running at 1,047 MHz and supporting HDR10 technology. It also features an NPU 655 for AI tasks.
The RAM comes in versions with 12 GB of LPDDR4X, which can be virtually expanded using storage memory. For storage, it features 256 GB of UFS 2.2.
Display, Cameras, and Battery Life
The display panel used by this Xiaomi model is a 6.67-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. For selfies, there’s a 20 MP front-facing camera that complements the rear sensors; these include a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, an 8 MP wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor.
It also features an in-display fingerprint reader, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and 5-in-1 GPS for location tracking. As for connectivity ports, this device features a USB Type-C 2.0 port and an audio jack. The battery has a capacity of 5,500 mAh with fast charging up to 44 W.
