We already have a new terminal of Xiaomi in the market, this time positioned in the economic range and that would be between the Smartphones of the same brand Redmi 5 and the new Xiaomi Mi 6X. Xiaomi Redmi S2 is the name of this new smartphone that comes with a global version but without Android One, a small disappointment. However, the rest of the specifications of this equipment are very interesting since it includes a SoC Octa Core from Qualcomm and a double rear camera. The design follows the trail of the Redmi 5, little to point out in this regard.
SoC, RAM and storage
Xiaomi Redmi S2 includes a SoC Qualcomm snapdragon 625, the same used in the Xiaomi Mi 5X, an Octa Core with a GPU Adreno 506. We also have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage memory expandable via microSD card, although surely we are going to have a version with more storage memory.
Screen and other specifications
The screen of the Xiaomi Redmi S2 is a 5.99 inches with an HD+ resolution of 720 × 1440 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio, at the camera level we find two rear 12MP with Sony IMX48 sensor, integrated flash, another camera 5MP secondary with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor and in the front zone a 16MP with f/2.0 aperture. As connections we have Wifi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and a modem with all international bands. We also have dual SIM slot with space for a microSD, audio jack, IR transmitter, the battery is 3000 mAh and the operating system is MIUI 9 based on Android 8 Oreo.
