Xiaomi Redmibook 14 now available in Chinese stores

The sub-brand of Xiaomi Redmi has just presented its first attempt into the world of laptops with its Redmibook 14. A laptop that, as is already common in this new sub-brand, places special emphasis on a very tight price-quality ratio. Naturally, the prices for the market outside of China are a little swollen but will surely fall in a few weeks. The Redmibook 14 is available in three versions, all with eighth-generation Intel processors, metal chassis, screen with narrow frames and a weight of around 1.5Kg.

Processor, RAM and storage

The Redmibook 14 is available in 3 versions, the most economical with Intel Core i5-8265U processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. The second version has the same Intel Core i5-8265U processor, with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and a 512GB SATA SSD, while the most powerful model includes Intel Core i7-8565U processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. The dedicated GPU in all models is an Nvidia Gforce MX250 with 2GB GDDR5 memory and there is a free slot for another storage unit.

Screen and other features

The screen is a 14-inch IPS with a resolution of 1920 * 1080 pixels and includes a 1MP webcam at the top. It also includes WiFi 2 × 2 AC, Bluetooth 5.0, 65W battery with fast charging, a USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.0, an HDMI 1.4 output and a 3.5mm audio jack. The SO is Windows 10 Home Edition and among other details we have a pair of speakers in the 1.5W chassis.
