Xiaomi presents its new RedmiBook laptops with AMD Ryzen 4000 APUs

It seems that AMD is quickly gaining market in the notebook sector and now will be part of the new Xiaomi RedmiBook 13, RedmiBook 14 and RedmiBook 16 notebooks, all of them will use a AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir APU. These laptops have interesting specifications and features, at the design level undoubtedly stand out for their front screen with very narrow frames, we will soon have them in stores at a ground-breaking price.

Processor, RAM and storage

The new Xiaomi RedmiBooks integrates the APUs AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with 6 cores and the powerful Ryzen 7 4700U with 8 cores. These new versions of Ryzen APUs for laptops have 7nm Zen 2 cores and in the graphic section have the powerful AMD Radeon Vega GPU with a 30% increase in performance compared to the previous generation.

These laptops come in configurations between 8 and 16GB of RAM combined with 512GB or 1TB capacity drives. With the FN + K key combination we can switch between different performance modes to work on Desktop or Gaming profiles.

Screen and other specifications

The screen of the Xiaomi RedmiBook have 13, 14 and 16-inch screens respectively with 16:10 format and FullHD 100% RGB resolution, it has a screen percentage of 90% and the brightness ranges from 50 to 300 nits. It also includes WiFi aC, Bluetooth, two USB 2.0 ports, another two USB Type-C, HDMI connector, fingerprint reader to unlock and a 3.5mm audio jack.

At the autonomy level we find batteries between 40 and 46Wh depending on the model and the included operating system will be Windows 10. At the weight level, the RedmiBook 13 reaches 1.23 kg, RedmiBook 14 weighs 1.2 kg and the largest RedmiBook 16 weighs 1.8 kg.
