We can now start buying the Global version of the Xiaomi Smart Speaker in Chinese stores that is 100% compatible with Google Assistant.
This new Xiaomi smart speaker has a compact size of only 95 x 95 x 14 mm and a weight of 628 grams. Its design is quite different from the Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker, since it now has a matte black color with abundant perforations. One of the big differences is the LED screen with adjustable brightness that we have on the front and where the time is constantly displayed.
The main novelty of the Xiaomi Smart Speaker is the integration of Google Assistant with which we can control the speaker through voice commands and carry out all kinds of actions, such as checking the weather, Wikipedia or the latest news. We also have a built-in Chromecast, so sending audio from your smartphone or tablet to this speaker is going to be a breeze.

The Xiaomi Smart Speaker has inside a speaker with a 1.5-inch diaphragm capable of projecting sound in 360 degrees and two long-range microphones for voice recognition and thus being able to use the Google Assistant.
