For those who are looking for a cheap laptop with a 15.6-inch screen, the Chinese brand YEPO has recently released its Low Cost YEPO 15.6. A laptop with Windows 10 valid for office automation, navigation and much more thanks to its 6GB of RAM and its Intel Celeron N3350 processor with a design without frills, although with aluminum chassis, as corresponds to its price range. Its low price is paid for by storage, since it includes a 500GB mechanical hard drive, but we can always replace it with an SSD and substantially improve this cheap Chinese laptop.
SoC, RAM and storage
The YEPO 15.6 includes an Intel Celeron N3350 processor, an Apollo Lake Dual Core manufactured in 14nm and that integrates an Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU. On board we find 6GB of LPDDR3 RAM, while for storage we have a 2.5″ 500GB hard drive, obviously with this processor we can not run games beyond basic things.
Display and other specifications
The screen is a 15.6″ IPS with an FHD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and includes a 1.3MP camera with microphone on top. We also have a 4700 mAh-7.4V battery, WiFi aC and Bluetooth 4.0. At the connector level this laptop has a pair of USB 3.0 ports, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card reader, RJ45 network connector and an HDMI video output.
The body of this laptop is made of aluminum, weighs only 1.3 kg and the keyboard has an English distribution.
