It is already available to pre-order on Amazon.com the new Amazon Fire TV that comes in a format very similar to the Chromecast, minimalist design and connectivity. This new Fire TV comes with many features necessary since the previous version since in addition to including a more powerful SoC we have support for 4K HDR up to 60 FPS, Dolby Atmos and HDMI audio pass through 5.1 or 7.1. The control in this new device Fire is also renewed since the remote control with microphone now responds to the orders of the assistant Alexa. Interesting new features for a very complete device since it has full compatibility with Amazon Prime video, Netflix, HBO and other streaming services.
Amazon Fire TV includes an Amlogic S905Z Quad Core SoC with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450mp3 GPU, a version of the S905X we’ve seen on countless devices in our reviews. It also has 2GB of RAM, 8GB of eMMc storage memory, WiFi aC 2 × 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE and at the connectivity level we have only a microUSB port for the power and a HDMI 2.0a connector. At the operating system level as usual we will have Amazon Fire OS 6.0 based on Android 7.1, a system very personalized by Amazon.
