Finally we have the complete specifications of the Zidoo X20 and the Zidoo X20 Pro, a devices that goes beyond the usual, these models have a configuration that corresponds to a high-end multimedia center and surely will not be within reach of the pockets of all the users. Specifications and external design have not changed in the basics of the specifications we already knew, maintains its aluminum box, front LED screen and hardware in which its RAM and its two front bays stand out for 3.5″ discs.
SoC, RAM and Storage
Zidoo X20 includes as heart the new Realtek RTD1296DD SoC an updated version of the current RTD1295 that arises from the collaboration of Zidoo and Realtek based on previous experience, is a Quad Core that includes four processors ARM Cortex-A53 64bit and a GPU Mali-T820mp3 with support for H.265 / VP9 codecs and capable of playback video up to 4K UHD resolutions up to 60fps with HDR and 10bit color support. It also includes 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, 16 GB of eMMc storage memory and two bays with SATA 3 connectors on the front that can hold up to 3.5-inch drives. In the Zidoo X20 Pro model we have 32 GB of storage.
Other features
These models stand out for their connectivity as they include WiFi aC 2T2R with two external antennas and Bluetooth 4.2 in terms of wireless networks. The connectors included in this equipment are up to the rest of the features as we found a pair of USB 2.0 ports on the front while in the back we have a USB 3.0 port, a USB Type-C, Gigabit Ethernet port, port RS232, optical and coaxial audio outputs and in terms of video is very complete since it includes a HDMI 2.0a video output, an HDMI exclusive output for audio and an HDMI input with PiP, the two models support Audio playback up to 192KHz SRC.
In the model Zidoo X20 Pro we also have a DAC Audio Professional ESS 9038 that allows us to get the most out of audio at this device, on the motherboard we have specific audio trainers with separate circuits to avoid the maximum noise pollution on the output connector.
The included remote control is very complete as it is backlit and in addition to Bluetooth includes an IR sensor with key cloning capability of other IR remotes, these TV-Box are compatible with Logitech Harmony control systems officially, we also have a very detailed remote control app.
The operating system is dual with Android 6.0 and OpenWRT (NAS). Android version will be very worked by Zidoo as usual for what it seems as it will include support for navigation of Blue-Ray 4K and many improvements at the level of audio and video playback as we can see on its official website.
