ZIDOO Z10 PRO and ZIDOO Z1000 PRO two new high-end TV-Boxes

If a few days ago we knew about the new ZIDOO Z9X, today its big brothers ZIDOO Z10 PRO and ZIDOO Z1000 PRO have been presented, which also integrate the new Realtek RTD1619-DR SoC. These Smart boxes are distinguished by the design of its aluminum box that allows to lodge inside 3,5″ disks and thus a greater control of our films.

These TV-Boxes are devices intended for those seeking quality in local content playback. As usual in this type of product, we will not have support for streaming services such as Netflix or Prime video in 4K quality.

SoC, RAM and storage

The new Realtek RTD1619DR SoC features six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores and integrates a Mali-G51 MP3 GPU. It has 2 GB of DDR4 RAM and an internal storage of 16 GB expandable by micro SD or by its lateral SATA connector.

As for video and audio reproduction we have support for the most modern formats and although it lacks AV1, it allows to play formats like VP9 profile 2, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and supports automatic refresh rate change. In this new Box it is not specified exactly if we have official support for Dolby ATMOS, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA and Dolby True-HD, only support for decoding two audio channels is indicated.

Other specifications

I n the ZIDOO Z10 PRO and ZIDOO Z1000 PRO have installed WiFi aC 2×2 MIMO + Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity with two external antennas on the Z10 PRO and internal antennas on the Z1000 PRO. The interfaces are quite complete, and we have HDMI 2.0b output, HDMI 2.0a input, SPDIF, three USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, SATA connector, AV jack, RS232 and Gigabit Ethernet port.

As operating system we have Android 9 with the usual layer of ZIDOO ZIUI, own remote control app and we have support for DVD and Bluray native playback. Android 9 is a positive point for start, although as we know Realtek does not evolve much its Android versions.

Price and availability

  • The ZIDOO Z10 PRO and ZIDOO Z1000 PRO are not yet on sale but will cost around $350.
