Today we found a new Android TV-Box called Tanix H1, a device that only stands out for bringing us Android 9 to the Hisilicon SoCs. Good news for all users of this family of processors in other TV-Boxes, perhaps in the future they maybe will receive an update. This product as we will see has limited specifications and we do not recommend it a priori, do not be fooled by the price that is using to capture uninformed users.

SoC, RAM and storage
Tanix H1 includes the still unknown Hisilicon Hi3798M V110 SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a MALI-450 GPU similar to the one mounted by the Himedia Q30 TV-Box but that surely has some extra cut-out. A SoC that offers us a good H.265 and VP9 decoding with 10bit color support and high-quality image processing. On the other hand, we only have 1/2GB of DDR4 RAM and 8/16GB of eMMc storage memory, which is absurd today.
Other specs
To continue with its poor specifications we have only WiFi b/g/n 2.4G and it does not have Bluetooth. The expansion ports are few, on the one hand we have an HDMI 2.0a port, power connector, 10/100 Ethernet and A / V, on the other hand we have two USB 2.0 ports and a microSD card slot that we hope will allow us to expand the shortage eMMC internal space as standard.
Price and availability
- The TV-Box Tanix H1 can be bought at Banggood.com or Aliexpress.com only for $19.99 (€18.42), a rather limited device that at first does not seem very interesting, better other options.
