Today we found a new TV box on AliExpress called C9, which is based on the Amlogic S905X5M and caught our attention because it has 128 GB of storage in its only version.
Its Amlogic S905X5M processor is significantly more powerful than its predecessor, the Amlogic S905X4. This increase in power is noticeable in the new Mali-G310 V2 GPU, which doubles its graphics power, as you can see in our review. A Chinese box that stands out for its good network connectivity, with Wi-Fi 6 and a Gigabit RJ45 port.
The operating system is Android TV 14 and it does NOT have DRM certificates to watch Netflix and similar services in high quality. A media player suitable for use with all kinds of apps, games, emulators, and local video playback up to 4K resolution. Alternatively, if you want to watch high-quality paid streaming, there is the new Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen, which uses the same processor and is also considerably cheaper.
C9 Specifications
The 6 nm Quad Core Amlogic S905X5M is responsible for powering this Android TV box. This chip integrates ARM Cortex-A55 processors with 30K DMIPS power and a new ARM Mali-G310 V2 iGPU. It supports native decoding of H.265, AVS2, VP9, and AV1 codecs with resolutions up to 4K@75fps 10-bit, compatible with HLG and HDR10 technologies.
The only version of this Android Box comes with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 128 GB of eMMc 5.1 storage. If you want to expand the memory, you can use the included microSD card reader.

In terms of wireless connectivity, the C9 comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity. The connectors included in the plastic box are a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, an RJ45 Gigabit network port, an SPDIF interface, an analog AV connector, and an HDMI 2.1a video output with support for up to 4K@60 FPS resolutions.
