TCL Tab A1 Plus NXTPAPER: a modest 11-inch tablet with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2

The new TCL Tab A1 Plus NXTPAPER has just been unveiled—a tablet that, as its name suggests, features NXTPAPER display technology and an interesting 3:2 aspect ratio.

TCL Tab A1 Plus NXTPAPER TabletInside its IP54-certified, reinforced chassis—which guarantees a certain level of resistance to dust and splashes—we find a 4-nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor that scores around 420,000 points on AnTuTu v11.

This new TCL will be available with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card slot up to 2 TB.

This TCL model features an 11-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,400 × 1,600 pixels, 500 nits of brightness, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The front-facing camera is 8 MP; the rear camera is also 8 MP and is equipped with an LED flash.

It also features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and the battery is 10,000 mAh with 33 W fast charging. For connectivity, it features a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer, and the audio system consists of four speakers and two microphones. Finally, it runs Android 16 with the TCL UI overlay and includes a case and a T-pen.

Price and Availability

  • The new TCL Tab A1 Plus NXTPAPER tablet is currently only available in the U.S., starting at $299, though we expect to see it in Europe soon.
