Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite: New Version Now Features a 2.5K OLED Display

New version of the Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite gaming tablet, an upgrade over the classic Y700 that features an OLED display as its main selling point.

A standout new feature is its 8.4-inch OLED panel with a high 2.5K resolution. This version retains the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, replacing the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. This chip integrates the Adreno 840 iGPU, allowing you to play even the most demanding games and emulators without any issues. Performance has been boosted with LPDDR5T RAM, and storage is provided by UFS 4.1 Pro.

The system runs Android 16 with gaming oriented customizations. This product typically comes with two firmware versions: a more comprehensive “Eastern” version in Chinese/English and a “Global” version that is somewhat more limited in terms of updates.

Powering the device is the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Octa-Core SoC, manufactured on a 3nm process with two clusters: the faster one features two Prime Cores clocked at up to 4.6 GHz, and the second cluster has six Performance Cores clocked at up to 3.6 GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 840 running at up to 1.2 GHz, promising a performance boost and efficiency improvement of nearly 25% compared to the previous generation.

As for memory, it features 12/16/24 GB of LPDDR5T RAM on the motherboard. For storage, there are versions with 256/512GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB via the microSD card slot.

Display, Network, and Battery Life

The front display is an 8.4-inch OLED with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision supportAs for the cameras, there’s an 8 MP front-facing camera with two microphones and a 50 MP rear camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, as well as a light sensor, gravity sensor, and gyroscope.

The battery capacity has been substantially increased to 7450 mAh, offering up to 12 hours of battery life depending on usage, and includes fast charging up to 68 W. Several Dolby Atmos-compatible stereo speakers are built into the body. It features USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity, which supports DisplayPort video output, and an additional USB-C 2.0 port for peripherals. The tablet will be available in black or white in a few weeks.
