The MINIX NUC300 mini PC is now available in stores. It features an Intel Core i3-N300 processor, which is sufficient for office work, multimedia, or use as a small server.
The MINIX NUC300 is the little brother of the recently unveiled MINIX NUC355. This time, the motherboard features the eight-core Intel Core i3-N300 processor, which replaces the previous N305. This new, low-power chip, manufactured on a 10-nm (Intel 7) process, has a TDP of just 15W and offers a significant performance boost over the Intel N150, thanks to twice as many cores and a better integrated GPU something to keep in mind if you plan to use it for demanding tasks.
It also features three simultaneous video outputs, allowing you to use it, for example, in digital signage or to work with multiple open documents. It includes VESA mounting support for attaching it to a monitor, and its dimensions are just 117 x 111 x 36 mm.
MINIX NUC300 Specifications
This new MINIX NUC300 mini PC features the 12th-generation Intel Core i3-N300 processor, manufactured on a 10-nm process and with a maximum power consumption of just 7 W. This chip is an octa-core processor with eight threads and a clock speed of up to 3.8 GHz. The GPU is an Intel Core UHD GPU with 32 EUs that reaches a speed of 1.25 MHz. This processor is well-suited for office use, education, casual and light gaming, and medium-load design applications.
In terms of RAM, it features a 16 GB DDR5 SODIMM running at 4,800 MHz, which can be upgraded or replaced. For storage, it includes a 512 GB NVMe M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD, which can also be expanded up to 4 TB.
Other notable features
In terms of connectivity, it features a 2.5G Ethernet port, a wireless adapter with Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. In terms of ports, the perimeter of the case features three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports supporting up to 10 Gbps, two USB-C ports (one of which includes DisplayPort and Power Delivery, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It also features two HDMI 2.1 TMDS video outputs that support video playback at resolutions up to 4K@60fps HDR.
Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed, but you can install a version of Linux if you prefer. A 19V DC power adapter and a VESA mount are included for mounting the device on any monitor.
