We already have on sale by surprise the version of this 2024 of the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD a small streaming player of Amazon’s economic range for 1080p TVs.
A new version of this dongle that comes with few improvements over the previous version that we saw in a review. It only adds the new remote control of this 2024 that we have already seen in the other Fire TV of this brand and support for HDMI CEC. Improvements that do not justify your purchase if you have the previous version, much less for the price it currently has.
This new version continues with support for HDR10 and HLG video technologies, h.265 and VP9 codecs and Dolby Atmos audio support (no DTS or Dolby Vision), nothing new in this aspect. Of course, we have full support for Alexa and FIRE OS as operating system.

Inside the new version there are no surprises, as we continue with the old Mediatek MT8695D processor, this chip is a Quad Core with Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.7 Ghz and a PowerVR GE8300 MP4 GPU that allows to move smoothly the Fire OS system. It has on board only 1 GB of RAM DDR4 and a meager 8 GB of eMMC storage, as you can see a device that we will only be able to use for streaming and little else.
For wireless connectivity we have, the same as in the previous Stick model, WiFi aC MiMo and Bluetooth 5.0. Also in this Fire TV connectors do not improve, we continue with an HDMI output and a single microUSB 2.0 OTG port for power.
