CHUWI AuBox X, the new version of this mini PC featuring an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor

More power for the CHUWI AuBox X mini PC, a machine that is now available in two versions and offers high performance in a sleek design.

A few weeks ago, we learned about this mini PC featuring an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor; now, a new version has been unveiled with the powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 256V. This 3nm Lunar Lake Octa-Core processor includes an Intel Arc 140V iGPU with 8 Xe cores. Soldered onto the motherboard is 16 GB of fast LPDR5X RAM that operates in dual-channel mode, ideal for boosting gaming performance with the iGPU. On the back, it features the classic VESA mount for hanging it behind your monitor and includes active cooling.

There is a USB4 port available for use with an external GPU. With this connector included, we have four simultaneous video outputs, allowing you to handle large amounts of data at once.

Specifications of the CHUWI AuBox X Mini PC

This new mini PC is powered by the powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor. This chip features 8 cores reaching a maximum speed of 4.8 GHz and 8 threads, and integrates an NPU. The iGPU is an Intel Arc 140V with 8 Xe-Cores, offering image and performance enhancements via XeSS. This solution allows us to install the OpenClaw AI assistant system, thanks to its NPU, which, combined with the CPU, delivers 115 TOPS.

In terms of RAM, the system features 16GB of soldered LPDDR5X RAM running at 8533 MT/s in a non-expandable dual-channel configuration. For storage, it comes with a 512GB drive and includes two high-speed NVMe PCIe 5.0 SSD slots that support drives up to 8 TB.

Other notable features

As we can see in the networking section, it features high-speed Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a high-speed 2.5 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet port. On the exterior of the chassis, we find several USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB4 port supporting up to 40 Gbps with DisplayPort video output, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. In addition to these ports, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DP 1.4 port, totaling four video outputs supporting up to 8K@60 HDR.

The operating system is Windows 11 Pro, but you can install a popular Linux distribution if you prefer. The dimensions are 128.4 x 128.4 x 40.5 mm, and it comes with an external power supply that connects to a rear USB-C port.
