Amlogic S922X is seen on the ODROID-N2 PCB

Putting by surprise of the awaited Amlogic S922X SoC of which we have all its specifications available and that presents on paper a great leap forward with respect to the S912. The Amlogic S922X debuts on the ODROID-N2 PCB that will hit the market in April, a date that we assume will see many Boxes appear with this new SoC of AMlogic . In the forum of Odroid we have available Benchmarks made with the S922X that assembles this new PCB and that coincide with the data that we previously saw in one of our comparatives.

SoC, RAM and storage

The ODROID-N2 will include the SoC Amlogic S922X a Hexa Core manufactured in 12nm with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 1.8Ghz + 2 RAM Cortex-A53 processors that reach 1.9Ghz. The GPU is a Mali-G52mp6 ARM with a maximum speed of 846MHz and we also have an audio DAC. This board can mount 2 / 4GB of DDR4 RAM, 8MB of SPI flash memory, a socket for an eMMc module and a microSD card reader

Other specifications

At the level of connectivity we will currently have only one Gigabit Ethernet port and we assume that some version with WiFi / Bluetooth will be released soon. The included connectors are an HDMI 2.1 output, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 OTG port, UART, 3.5mm audio jack and a 40-pin connector.

The operating systems available at first will be Android 9 Pie (apps only to 32bit) and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Price and availability

  • ODROID-N2 with  Amlogic S922X SoC will be available in April with a price of $ 63 for the model with 2GB of RAM and $ 79 for the model with 4GB of RAM.
