Android 10 begins to reach the TV-Box since today we find on Aliexpress.com a box that already includes this recent version of Android. Curiously, the first SoC chosen to run under android 10 is a chip of the lowest range such as the Allwinner H3 Quad Core, where we find outdated ARM Cortex-A7 cores. Hopefully, soon other more modern Allwinner SoCs such as the Allwinner H6 receive Android 10. This new box that launches Android 10 is called T95 SUPER, a low-priced low tier, $24.80 (€22.86), which can serve as a media player in resolutions FullHD and little else.
Basic review
If we do a superficial review of the T95 SUPER we see that the Allwinner H3 SoC lags behind others like the S905W at all levels. It has basic power to be used as a media player with KODI or LibreELEC, we can also play very simple games without pretensions but we CANNOT play powerful titles like PUBG. Remember that these cheap Boxes have no secured support and do not have DRM certificates, so we can only watch Netflix in SD quality. SoC, RAM and storage
The Box T95 SUPER as we have already mentioned includes the Allwinner H3 SoC with four ARM Cortex-A7 CPU cores and a Mali-400MP2 GPU that has native decoding of the h.265 and VP9 hardware codecs. It also includes 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of storage memory that we can expand thanks to the microSD card reader found on the side.
Other specifications
At the wireless connectivity level we have only WiFi b/g/n and the interfaces available on the sides of the plastic box are 2 USB 2.0 ports, a 10/100 network port, analog audio and video output and an HDMI 1.4 video interface that allows us FHD resolutions with support for HDR.
In the box we also find feeder, cables and an infrared remote control to control the SMart Box from the first moment.
