If we already thought it was surprising to see a TV-Box with the Amlogic S905 SoC and Android 8.1 today we are even more surprised to see it with Android 9.0. And is that this low-cost Smart Box with name Bilikay BL1 comes by surprise with this version of the popular OS that frankly we did not expect.
Basic Review
The Bilikay BL1 is an Android Box with enough hardware for normal use since the Amlogic S905 SoC allows us to use basic apps and games. As a review we can say that at the multimedia level you can play 4K@60fps files with h.265 / VP9 codecs using KODI, LibreELEC or IPTV streams and Netflix in SD basic quality at most. If you want to see Netflix and other services in maximum quality consult our list of Android TV models with Netflix 4K, HBO and others. This brand has no known support where to turn and we will stay with Android 9.0 in complete safety.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart TV-Box Bilikay BL1 includes the Amlogic S905 SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450 MP5 GPU. We also find 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal eMMC storage that we can expand thanks to the microSD card reader installed on the side of the quadrangular plastic box.
Other specifications
At the level of wireless connectivity we only have Wifi b/g/n with internal antenna and without Bluetooth. In the section of connectivity we find a pair of USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet 10/100 connector, jack for IR extender and HDMI 2.0 and AV video outputs.
As standard we have a classic IR control, DC charger and HDMI cable.
