ASRock 4×4 BOX is a new range of mini PCs oriented to industrial use that assemble that integrated APUs with low consumption AMD R and V1000 series, a solutions that are gradually gaining market niche. This device oriented to an intensive use with little maintenance is undoubtedly ideal for industrial environments or to use it for digital signage thanks to its multiple video outputs in the rear area.
SoC, RAM and storage
There are two versions of these new Asrock, the so-called ASRock 4×4 BOX-R1000 that integrates the APU Ryzen R1606G with clock up to 2.6 GHz and the Ryzen R1505G with clock up to 2.4 GHz and on the other hand the ASRock 4×4 BOX-V1000 that have the APU Ryzen V1605B up to 2 GHz. These SoC mount a Vega 3 GPU that allows up to three simultaneous image outputs and allow us to play video in 4K quality without problems.
Other specifications
At the level of connections the ASRock 4×4 BOX in all its versions are identical, they have support for Dual Channel DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM memory 2400 MHz up to 32GB. As for connectors we have an HDMI output, two DP outputs, three USB 3.1 ports, two 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet connectors, COM connector, optional M.2 Wifi card slot and another M.2 disk slot. The compatible operating systems are Windows 10 and Linux 4.6. This model has active blower type ventilation.
Price and availability
- The new ASRock 4×4 BOX are available only within the industrial scope and no domestic output is expected.
