ASRock iBOX is a new passive mini PC oriented to industrial use that can integrate AMD the new low consumption R1000 APU series that we saw just a few days ago or the new low power processors Intel Whiskey Lake-U. This device oriented to an intensive use with little maintenance is without a doubt ideal for industrial environments or to use it for digital signage thanks to its multiple video outputs.
SoC, RAM and storage
The ASRock iBOX models will be available with Intel Core i3-8145U, Core i5-8265U and Core i7-8565U processors with a maximum consumption of 15W TPD that have a 6th generation Intel HD Graphics GPU. On the other hand we have the model ASRock iBOX-R1000 that integrates the APU Ryzen R1606G with clock up to 3.5 GHz and the Ryzen R1505G with clock up to 3.3 GHz, two models that mount a Vega 3 GPU that allows up to three simultaneous video outputs.
Other specifications
At the level of connections the ASRock iBox in its two versions are almost identical as they have support for Dual Channel DDR4 SO-DIMM memory 2400 MHz up to 32GB. As for connectors we have an HDMI output, two DP outputs, three USB 3.1 ports, two 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet connectors, COM connector, optional M.2 Wifi card slot and another M.2 disk slot.
