At INDIEGOGO we have already launched the crowdfunding campaign for the AYANEO Pocket S, a console that will delight Android gamers.
The latest AYANEO console has inside a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 SoC specially designed to get the most out of games and that updates the Gen 1 of the Razer Edge. The design of the AYANEO Pocket S stands out for its Smartphone appearance with a metallic perimeter frame, one and a 6-inch screen with very thin frames that has two versions with different resolution. The measurements live up to its design, as it is only 213.9 x 85 x 14 mm and weighs 350 grams, making it extremely portable.
The operating system is Android 13 with the AYAHome layer and the AYASpace management app, and with the power of this console we will be able to play any last generation game and emulate even the latest Nintendo console. The hardware details are many, with a fingerprint reader integrated in the power button, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, DDR5 memory and high speed storage.
AYANEO Pocket S Specifications
The AYANEO Pocket S has at its core a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 octa Core chip, manufactured in 4 nm. The cores are 1 Kryo Prime Ultra that reaches up to 3.6 Ghz, 4 Ultra Kryo Prime, 3 x Kryo Silver. In the graphics section, we have an Adreno A32 GPU that reaches 1.0 Ghz. A processor with great power and an active cooling system.
We have versions with RAM memory of 12/16 GB LPDDR5 at 8533Mhz. For storage, we find options with 128 GB (UFS 3.1) and 512 GB / 1 TB (UFS 4.0). We also have a micro SD card slot that we assume will support up to 2 TB.
Display and other notable features
The AYANEO Pocket S has two versions of its 6-inch IPS display with 400 nits. The simplest has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the most complete resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. In connectivity section we have Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type C 3.2 Gen2 port for data, fast charging and DisplayPort video output. The battery has a capacity of 6000 mAh with 40W PD fast charging.
In the controls section you have 2 Hall sticks with sensitivity control, a D-pad, ABXY buttons and 4 triggers. We also have 6-axis gyroscope, vibration motor, two microphones with noise cancellation for online gaming and stereo speakers.
Price and availability
- The new AYANEO Pocket S can be purchased from INDIEGOGO starting at about $399 for the cheapest version, and shipments are expected to begin in mid-May 2024.
