Every day we have more news in the streaming consoles sector and today the Razer Edge has been presented. A model that combines a Gamepad + tablet and offers something similar to the recent Logitech G.
This new Razer Edge streaming game console offers powerful hardware and 5G connectivity, ideal for playing anywhere without the need for Wifi. For now this product is oriented to the US market with the Verizon phone company, so it is possible that we will not see it in Europe or other regions. As usual with these devices, price is a key factor, especially since they have to compete with the Steam Deck which offers us local gaming instead of just streaming.

Razer Edge offers us inside a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chip, an Octa Core manufactured in 4 nm with configuration 1×3.2 GHz Cortex-X2, 3×2.8 GHz Cortex-A710, 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A510 and for the graphics section we have an Adreno 730 GPU. A processor with enough power to move any game on Android and streaming.
We have 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, for storage we have 128 GB (UFS 3.1). That we can expand by a micro SD slot up to 2 TB, to focus on cloud gaming local game is not critical.
Display and services
The Razer Edge has a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen tablet with FHD+ resolution (2400×1080) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. In connectivity section we have Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
As for controls, this tablet integrates the Razer Kishi v2 Gamepad that we saw in a review. In the controls section you have 2 analog sticks, a D-pad, eight independent buttons, 2 progressive triggers with haptic response and 2 bumpers. A configuration that allows us to control PC games 100% with all its capabilities.
This Razer hardware is compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now services, we can also stream PC games using Steam Link and run Android games natively. It is possible to customize the controls thanks to the Razer Nexus application.
We have a 5000 mAh capacity battery that will give us about 5 hours of gameplay. The operating system is Android 12 and has a custom layer made by Razer. The weight of the tablet is 264 grams, the gamepad is 260 x 85 x 11 mm and with the tablet mounted weighs 401 grams.
