The Beelink brand does not stop bringing new mini PCs to the market, this time we echo the new Beelink Gemini X. This new generation of miniPCs are based on Gemini Lake desktop processors of the J series, more powerful models than the classic processors of the N series that are intended for portable systems and at very low consumption. Soon we will see in our usual review how works the new model Beelink S2 with N-series processor and we will compare it with the processors of the J series that we saw in the review of the passive ASRock Gemini Lake motherboards.
Processors, RAM and storage
Beelink Gemini X comes in three versions depending on the Intel Gemini Lake processor and the memory and storage configuration that it integrates.
- Beelink Gemini X45 with Celeron J4105 Quad processor up to 2.5GHz that integrates 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage.
- Beelink Gemini X45 with Celeron J4105 Quad processor up to 2.5GHz that integrates 6GB of RAM and 128GB of mSATA SSD.
- Beelink Gemini X55 with Pentium Silver J5005 Quad processor up to 2.8GHz that integrates 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of mSATA SSD.
These processors are manufactured in 14nm and are suitable for office environments, web browsing, simple games or to play 4K multimedia content. The RAM memory will be DDR4-2400 type integrated while the storage we have an mSATA port and a SATA 3 connector to mount a 2.5-inch disk. This model with measures of only 115 x 102 x 43 mm has an active fan to expel air from the box.
In these mini PCs we also have WiFi aC with integrated Bluetooth 4.0, while at the connector level we have four USB 3.0 ports, audio jack with microphone support, SD card reader, front digital microphone for Cortana, Gigabit Ethernet port and HDMI video output (version not specified). It also includes Kengsinton anchorage chassis and is compatible with VESA type brackets. These mini PCs are compatible with Windows 10 and Linux.
