BOXPUT BP4 another Chinese Smart Box with AMlogic S905X4 and Android 11

New Chinese Box that we found on AliExpress called BOXPUT BP4 and that, as expected on paper, does not bring great news.

The BOXPUT BP4 is the typical Chinese Box that this time comes with Android 11 as the System and is commanded by an Amlogic S905X4 SoC that is capable of decoding the latest generation AV1 codec. This is an Android Box suitable to be used as a multimedia player, with KODI or similar, to run games and many emulators. It is unsuitable for use with paid streaming platforms, due to the fact that it does not have certificates and to view them in the best video quality we have other alternatives. Curiously, this Box has versions available with 10/100 or Gigabit Ethernet, something unusual in TV-Boxes.

BOXPUT BP4 Specifications

The Android Box BOXPUT BP4 includes the AMlogic S905X4 processor as its engine. This chip is a Quad Core manufactured in 12nm with low consumption ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach speeds of 2 GHz and integrates a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that reaches 650 Mhz. The VPU includes 4K@60fps, HDR, HDR10 and HLG support.

In the store we have different versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM soldered on the board, 32/64 GB of eMMc storage to choose from and a micro SD card reader where we can connect up to 64 GB cards to expand the internal memory.

Other features

In the wireless connectivity section, all versions of this new Android Box have dual-band Wifi aC and Bluetooth 4.1. The connectors included on the sides of its plastic box are a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, 3.5 mm analog audio and video output connector, SPDIF digital audio output, RJ45 Ethernet interface with a choice of speed 10 /100 or Gigabit and an HDMI 2.1 video output that can output video at up to 8K resolutions.

As usual, an HDMI cable, power supply and an infrared remote control are included to be able to use this Box from the first moment.
