CarlinKit AI Box, more power for the Android Auto in your Car

New CarPlay Box that we find today in stores called CarlinKit AI Box, a system to improve the Android environment of our car.

This new Android Auto Box also called in other sites CarlinKit iBox Pro offers an economic SoC as is the Qualcomm SMD450 that allows moving apps without a high demand for resources. As a system we have Android 9 with the Google Play store to install any app and is easily upgradable from OTA in the future. A suitable Box to update the one that brings our car if it was outdated, it is only necessary to have compatibility with the CarPlay system.

This system is easily configured by Plug and Play, we just need to connect a USB-C cable and follow the steps. In addition, we can connect to it wirelessly via Bluetooth.

This box, which also goes under the name CarlinKit Tbox Basic Pro, includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 (SMD450) SoC of economic range manufactured in 14 nm. This is a chip that integrates 8 ARM Cortex A-53 processors capable of reaching 1.8 Ghz. In the graphics section we have an Adreno 506 GPU that offers maximum compatibility with all kinds of apps.

In this Android Auto Box we have a single version for sale with 4 GB of RAM and internal storage of 64 GB of the eMMc type. For external storage we have available a micro SD card slot to include multimedia files.

Other notable features

The CarlinKit CPC200-iBox Pro includes dual band Wifi 5 wireless connectivity with Bluetooth 4.2 BLE 5.0. As connectors we only have a USB-C port to activate the Android Auto system in our car screen. As an extra point to note that it has all DRM certificates to view streaming platforms like Netflix and others.

For this system to work our Car must be compatible with the CarPlay system, usually found in SEAT, Cupra, Honda, Nissan, Nissan, Ford, Ford, Audio, Peugeot, Toyota, Skoda, VW, Volvo, Hyundai and Chevrolet brands among others. It is not compatible with BMW cars for example.
