CarlinKit Tbox S2, new standalone Android Auto or CarPlay box for your Car

We found today a new autonomous car box called CarlinKit Tbox S2 Ambient, with it you can easily upgrade your car’s smart system.

This new Android Box for car includes the powerful Snapdragon S662 processor and has Android 13 standalone operating system, easily upgradable from OTA in the future. An attractive option for the powerful hardware that mounts, ideal for improving the system of our car, since it is only necessary to have compatibility with the CarPlay or Android Auto system. In addition, we have triple GPS support and 4G modem connection if we mount our own micro SIM card.

The system configuration is Plug and Play, we only need to connect a USB-C cable and then activate the Wireless system. In addition, we can insert a SIM card to use standalone data and a micro SD card with our multimedia files.

This is a chip that integrates 8 ARM Kyro 260 processors capable of reaching 2 Ghz. In the graphics section we have an Adreno 610 GPU that offers maximum compatibility with all kinds of apps or even games.

In this Android Auto Box we have a single version for sale with 4 GB of RAM LPDDR4X and internal storage of 64 GB of the eMMc type. For external storage we have available a slot for micro SD cards where to include multimedia files of all kinds.

Other notable features

In terms of wireless connectivity, in the CarlinKit Tbox S2C we have micro SIM input slot to use its 4G modem (buy European modem version). We can share our data connection with the dual band Wifi 5 system and also has dual connectivity Bluetooth 4.2 5 .0 BLE. As connectors we only have a USB-C port to activate the Android Auto system on our car screen. We have for GPS location with fast and reliable triple satellite positioning.

For this system to work our car must be compatible with Android Auto or CarPlay. Normally, it is found in Ford, Cupra, Honda, Nissan, Audio, Peugeot, Toyota, Skoda, Seat, VW, Volvo, Hyundai and Chevrolet brands among others. It is not compatible with BMW cars for example.
