Today we present a new cheap Stick called DQ06 that at least has Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and a Bluetooth remote control.
This is a small stick that works with Android TV 12 as a system and with a processor such as the Allwinner H618 that supports decoding for the AV1 codec and improves the Allwinner H616. The configuration of this Stick allows it to be used without problems as a multimedia player up to 4K UHD resolutions or to run apps of all kinds, including emulators and games, without too many graphic demands. A stick that is not bad for its price if we are clear about what we are buying.
As always with the DQ06, it is best to forget about updates and remember that it is not suitable for watching video in maximum quality on paid streaming platform apps, for that we have other alternatives. It can also work as a content receiver, since we can broadcast from our smartphone or tablet, due to the fact that it supports DNLA, AirPlay and Miracast.
Specifications of the Stick DQ06
Inside the Stick with Android DQ06 we have as engine an Allwinner H618 processor manufactured in 28 nm. This is a chip that integrates 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5 Ghz and a modest integrated ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.
Of this Android Box we have versions with 2/4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32/16 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand from the micro SD card reader.
Other notable features
In the field of wireless connectivity, we have Wi-Fi 6 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.0. As connectors, we find in its small plastic case a USB 2.0 port, IR sensor extension jack, USB-C connector for power and an HDMI 2.0a video output port that allows us to output video up to 4K@60fps resolutions.
Delivered with the DQ06 a simple Bluetooth remote control with several keys for direct access to streaming platforms and HDMI cable to start using this Box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to our TV.

So close! Here’s hoping their next model updates the USB2.0 port to USB3.0
a couple of buttons are “cancelled”, why? maybe they are “netflix” and “prime video” buttons. And maybe the dongle doesn’t implement the DRM level that is necessary to install and play those two apps … officially, at least.
could you explain?
