Imagination leaves much to be desired in many brands or Chinese assemblers who insist on repeating the same product over and over again with slight aesthetic or hardware changes. The Smart Box Flowfon F1 is another of these media players without any added value based on the Allwinner H6 SoC that reaches Chinese stores and barely distinguishes itself from the competition. Few details to highlight a basic box that includes Android 9.0 OS and will go through stores without pain or glory.

This device works OK, does a good job with video playback. My issue is the lack of settings available. The fonts are very small to read from any distance over 2-3 feet and there is no setting available to increase. The mouse cursor is very small too, hard to find on the screen sometimes. Again, no setting for larger cursor. Only settings available are in the sidebar. Main Android settings are missing. HDMI-CEC is missing too. I hope there is a firmware update to correct these issues. In the meantime I’m trying to find a copy of the stock firmware… Read more »
Yes, first a firmware to unbrick… share the link.
Then you can try with root change the DPI.

Just buy a box with a previous review and ask before buy.
If you can’t use the tv-box just open a dispute in paypal and explain the situation.
@Billh as you mentioned above “Keep getting told that when the firmware upgrade is available it will be pushed to the box…trouble is there is no OTA support only update method is by file.”
Could you please provide the link of the Update file you talked about, even if it is not OTA, the update file would be really helpful
