Another low-priced Android stick that we found on AliExpress with the name of G7Stick and this time it comes with a low-power Amlogic SoC.
This small stick has an ARM Quad Core AMlogic S905Y4 processor inside, with enough power to use it with any apps, games, emulators or as a 4K media player and even with the AV1 codec. Expansion options are minimal, since in its body we only have a USB 2.0 port, although for storage we have the option of expansion using the micro SD card reader.
The operating system installed on the G7Stick seems to be Android TV 11, although everything is possible in this type of Chinese products, where we can have an Android tablet version.
Specifications of the G7Stick
The tiny multimedia Stick G7Stick mounts inside an AMlogic S905Y4 processor manufactured in 14nm. A Quad Core chip with ARM Cortex-A35 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz. This SoC includes AV1 codec decoding, support for video output up to 4K@60fps resolutions and support for HDR 10 video image enhancement technology.
On its small board we have only one version with 2 GB of on-board soldered DDR4 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that fortunately we can expand if we use the micro SD card reader.
Other notable features
In the wireless connectivity section, we find Dual Band Wi-Fi 5 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. The included connectors are only a USB Type-C for power supply, a jack for an IR sensor extension, a USB-A 2.0 interface and an HDMI 2.0 video output.
Included with the TV-Stick G7Stick is a small IR remote control with microphone for voice commands and includes several shortcut keys to streaming platforms.
