New low consumption miniPC that appears in Chinese stores called GMK NucBox2 and that this time includes an Intel Core i5-8259U processor of which you have available our review.
An off-road Chip that includes an Intel Iris Plus 655 GPU much higher than traditional Intel HD and that already allows us to launch a game with a minimally good visual quality. Of the rest of its specifications little to highlight, it is in the line of other mini PCs that we find for this price, although this includes a Wi-Fi 6 wireless module, NVMe SSD disk and two SO-DIMM memory slots so we can easily expand the RAM. The GMK NucBox2 is another interesting and complete mini PC option that we can use in multiple functions thanks to its complete hardware.
Processor, RAM and storage
The GMK NucBox2 mini PC includes the Intel Core i5-8259U Quad core processor with Eight threads that integrates an Intel Iris Plus 655 GPU that reaches a consumption of 20/28 W TPD. For its cooling it seems that we have a good size fan and a Heat Pipes system. The RAM is 8GB DDR4, although it can be expanded up to 32 GB thanks to the two available SO-DIMM slots. For storage, it includes a 256 GB capacity M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD and a free internal bay for another 2.5-inch SATA3 drive.
Other specs
Wireless connectivity is in the hands of an Intel M.2 card that incorporates Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The connectors are varied, and we have a GIGA LAN network port, four USB 3.0, a USB Type-C Gen 2 port, 3.5 mm audio jack and 2 HDMI 2.0 video outputs with support for resolutions up to 4K at 60fps HDR.
