The Govee Immersion Kit is a set of accessories to install on our TV a complete Ambilight system without having to resort to a Philips Smart TV and improve our video viewing experience.
A set that improves the Govee set we saw days ago and that draws attention by including two smart light bars that we have to install on the sides of our TV screen. These bars reinforce the ambient lighting system provided by the LED strips that we have to install on our TV between 55-65 inches providing greater immersion. All the system that has as axis a camera that is placed in the superior part of our TV, captures the illumination and colors in screen in order to adapt the LED illumination of the strips and of the light bars. This ambient light system is compatible with streaming apps such as Netflix, HBO MAX or Prime Video, as it bypasses DRM protection.
This ambient backlighting system requires work to set it up and get good results, but we will always have a small delay, since these technology used through the camera is not instantaneous.
Govee Immersion Kit Specifications
The Govee Immersion Kit has as its main element a 1080p camera that is responsible for processing the necessary lighting of the LED strips with 16 million colors and RGBIC technology. This technology allows independent customization of each LED strip and display multiple colors simultaneously in order to have an ambient lighting synchronized with the images displayed on screen.
Included is a 3.8 meter LED strip in 4 pieces including clips and adhesives for fastening that can be easily installed on any TV from 55 to 65 inches in size. Complementing this kit is a pair of RGBIC LED ambient bars that we have to place 50 cm from the sides of our TV and are controlled by the same camera that incidentally includes a microphone to synchronize the lighting when using the Music Mode.
The entire system is controlled through the Govee Home app from which we can customize all kinds of parameters in addition to using its 64 pre-configured lighting modes. This backlighting system can also be controlled by voice, just add it to Alexa or Google Assistant.
