Introducing the new GPD MicroPC 2, an interesting convertible that allows multiple uses thanks to its specifications and ports.
Now in the GPD MicroPC 2 we have an Intel N250 processor, which offers good performance in desktop and multimedia tasks and is a very appealing evolution of its previous version with N4120 already quite outdated. In the RAM memory section we have 16 GB LPDDR5 and for storage we have a 512 GB NVMe unit. As we can see its central hinge allows us to rotate the screen, thanks to this it is possible to use it in several positions, as a conventional laptop or even as a tablet with its 7″ touch screen.
Its design features a reinforced body and weighs just 490 g. An interesting option for any professional who needs a resistant and flexible tool, both indoors and outdoors.
GPD MicroPC 2 Specifications
This new version includes an Intel N250 processor manufactured in 10 nm. An integrated processor with four cores and four execution threads up to 3.8 GHz. For the graphics section we have an integrated Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 32 EU compatible with video codecs such as AV1 up to 4K@60fps. This is a hardware that for its low power consumption, this CPU is only 15W TPD.
We find on board 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5 4800 MHz. In the storage section includes an SSD up to 512 GB M.2 2280 NVMe GB that we can expand by adding another larger capacity easily up to 8 TB.
Display and other features
The screen has a size of 7 inches enlarging the size of 6 inches we had before. As it cannot be otherwise, we have Wifi Bluetooth connectivity in an integrated module. In terms of interfaces, this UMPC includes multiple USB-A and USB Type-C ports for video, audio, and data. We also have RS232 connector, Gigabit network interface, HDMI output and serial port.
On the front we have a small backlit QWERTY keyboard, includes a touchpad with buttons and integrated microphone. The operating system included is Windows 11 Pro, although it is compatible with any Linux distribution if we prefer.
