If only a few days ago we saw details of the new portable console with Android GPD XD Plus today we have good news of the laptop with Windows 10 of the same brand that will be called GPD Win 2. A new portable console makes a big step forward with respect to its successor since it includes different improvements both at the external design level with a major renovation, this model already jumps to a 6″ screen and receives an Intel Core Socket M3-7Y30 Kaby Lake, much more powerful than we had in previous versions. Without a doubt those are a very nice improvements since the increase of power and ergonomics seems very significant.
GPD Win 2 has as core a processor Intel Core M3-7Y30 actively cooled that includes 2 cores and four threads of execution that moves between 1 and 2.6 GHz in turbo mode while in the graphic section integrates an Intel HD GPU Graphics 615. The RAM memory is 8GB LPDDR3-1866, it has a M.2 SSD of 128GB, a battery of 4900 mAh, WiFi aC and Bluetooth 4.2. The screen is a 6 “touch with an IPS panel and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that features protection corning gorilla glass 3.
In terms of connectivity we find a USB-type-C port, microSD card reader, microHDMI port, a USB 3.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack. Change includes stereo speakers, a pair of vibration motors and a QWERTY keyboard with a new design that seems more comfortable, like the new arrangement of its controls.
- GPD Win 2 seems that it could be left to stores during the month of February 2018 at a price that will undoubtedly be around $400, since the previous model has a price of $340.
