The GPD brand has just presented its new GPD WIN 4 PC console on Indiegogo, a machine that has the powerful AMD Ryzen 7 6800U APU that integrates an interesting RDNA2 GPU.
This console, which follows in the wake of others like the GPD WIN Max 2 and the OneXPlayer mini Pro, has enough power to run any current app or game in good conditions. This console with 6″ FHD sliding screen and integrated keyboard also has all the necessary controls, wifi 6 + Bluetooth 5 module and high performance NVMe SSD disk. An interesting hybrid with dual OS boot, between Windows and SteamOS with a lot of power in a small size.
GPD WIN 4 Specifications
This new GPD WIN 4 Gaming laptop integrates inside as engine the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U APU manufactured with TSMC 6 nm FinFET process with low power consumption. This processor has a configuration of 8 Zen3+ cores, supporting 16 threads of execution. It can reach 4.7 GHz in turbo mode and has a base frequency of 2.7 GHz in normal use. The power consumption of this processor is between 15 and 35 W, adjustable thanks to its software.
The integrated graphics solution is the AMD Radeon 680M, with 12 cores and a top speed of 2.2 GHz. A GPU superior to the previous VEGA 5000 series processors, with this graphics we can play quite demanding titles at good fps in FHD or HD resolutions.
In terms of memory and storage we have integrated 16/32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 6400GHz Dual Channel and a PCie 4.0 NVMe SSD of 512 GB or 1/2 TB capacity that can be replaced by the rear area.
Display and other features
The GPD WIN 4 console comes with a 6-inch IPS touch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 60 or 40 Hz refresh. In terms of wireless connectivity it includes an internal adapter with integrated wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 and optional 4G-LTE modem. In terms of connectivity we have a micro SD UHS-I card reader, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB-A 3.2, USB-C 3.2 and USB-C 4 port up to 40 GB that allows simultaneous video output up to 4K@60fps resolutions.
The battery is 45.62 Wh with PD 2.0 fast charging system up to 65W. This small notebook has a sliding backlit QWERTY keyboard and has a fingerprint reader for unlocking system.
We have two analog controls, D-Pad cross, four rear triggers, four action buttons, additional volume keys, menu and XBox shortcut. For sound we have two speakers integrated into the housing, the machine has a weight of 598 g and measures 220 x 92 x 28 mm.
