We already have for sale a new Android TV-Box from the GTMEDIA brand that repeats the AMlogic S905W2 SoC, a very interesting chip as you can see in our review and called GTMedia G4 Plus.
The GTMEDIA G4 PLUS Box, like most of this brand, is basically oriented towards multimedia playback and IPTV streaming, since it is compatible with Xtream and Stalker. It is not recommended as a streaming player for payment platforms such as Netflix, due to the fact that it lacks certificates to view them in maximum quality.
It is capable of decoding video with the AV1 codec up to 4K@60fps resolutions and HDR 10+ support and its operating system is Android 11, something that guarantees us a long useful life. With its hardware configuration, we can use normal Android apps and run mid-range games or emulators on Android.
GTMedia G4 Plus Specs
Inside the GTMedia G4 Plus Smart Box we find the Amlogic S905W2 SoC as the heart. This chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A35 processors and a MALI-G3 MP2 GPU. A sufficient processor to use streaming apps, KODI, IPTV and some simple games in 3D load.
In this device, we have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory integrated on the board. It also has a micro SD format card reader that allows us to increase its internal storage capacity.
Other features
In the wireless connectivity section, in the GTMedia G4 Plus we have Dual Band Wi-Fi AC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.1. In the connectors section, this Smart Box includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.1 port, micro SD card reader, RJ 45 10/100 network connector and finally an analogue port for audio and video.
Included with the accessories is a simple infrared remote control, power adapter and all the necessary cables to get it up and running right out of the box.
