Good price for the Hako mini, a small stick certified and capable of playing streaming pay-platforms up to 4K resolution.
The Hako mini, a small set-top box originally from Taiwan with Android TV 11 certified by Google as OS. A 100% streaming oriented dongle with very similar features, among others, to the EKO KATV10 that we saw some time ago.
We can seamlessly use the Google Assistant through the remote control thanks to the microphone and send content through its integrated Chromecast. On the Bluetooth remote control we also see direct access buttons on the remote control for Netflix, YouTube, and Google Play. An interesting alternative if we want to use paid streaming apps on any TV and have access to all Google services.
Main features of the Hako mini
The small Hako mini includes as engine an AMlogic S905Y2 SoC manufactured in 12 nm. This is a Dolby Audio certified Quad Core chip with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 iGPU with support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision video technologies.
RAM is 2 GB DDR3 and storage remains at a limited 8 GB eMMc, which is not expandable, as it has neither micro SD card reader nor a USB port.
Other notable specifications
In terms of wireless connectivity, it includes Dual Band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.2. The included connectors are only an HDMI 2.1 image output port and a micro USB for power. Quite limited in this aspect, although it is a Stick basically oriented to the reproduction of streaming content.
