SoC RK3318, Android 9 and 4GB of RAM for the HK1 MINI PLUS

New Box with Android equipped with the new RK3318 SoC that enters with force in stores according to the different models that we have seen in a few days. Today’s box is called HK1 MINI PLUS and includes a circular plastic box that we have already seen in other models of Chinese TV-Boxes and which as standard already comes with Android 9 as OS. This mediaplayer is also available in several versions and as you will see the hardware is very similar to the new Boxes that make up the new Rockchip SoC.

Basic analysis

As a quick review we can see the estimated overall performance of the HK1 MINI PLUS in a similar TV-Box that we have already review. This Android TV-Box that can work as a basic player with KODI or IPTV and where we can also run simple games without too much demand for resources given their hardware. SoC, RAM and storage

The new Box HK1 MINI PLUS integrates like heart the new Rockchip RK3318 SoC, with four processors ARM Cortex-A53 able to reach the 1.5Ghz and a GPU Mali-450mp5 that includes native decoding of video H.265 and VP9 even in resolutions 4K @ 60fps with support for HDR. It has versions with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.

Other features

Regarding wireless connections, this round TV-Box has Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. On the perimeter of the box we have a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows up to 4K @ 60fps video resolutions. It includes the classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable as usual.
