The new Smart Box equipped with the latest Rockchip RK3566 SoC that aims to stand up to the AMlogic S905X3 begins to arrive en masse in Chinese online stores such as Aliexpress.
The Box that we find today is the HK1 RBOX R2, and it undoubtedly surprises with its spectacular and unique design that combines what looks like strips of LEDs with a drawing on its upper part allegorical of its great speed and power. Regarding its hardware, in addition to the inclusion of the new SoC RK3566, it is worth noting the presence of 4 GB of DDR4 RAM that differentiates it from the other boxes that we have seen so far and that included DDR3. The Smart Box HK1 RBOX R2 includes Rockchip’s new RK3566 SoC, a Quad Core with low-power 64-bit ARM Cortex-A55 processors that theoretically go up to 1.99 Ghz, with a Mali-G52 2MP GPU and an NPU for iA with a power of 0.8 TOPS. The RAM is 4 GB DDR4, the storage is 32/64/128 GB eMMc, and we have a micro SD card reader in case we want to expand the storage.
Other specs
In the field of wireless connectivity, it includes Dual Band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.1 with internal antenna. The connectors we have in this case are a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, SPDIF digital audio output, Gigabit Ethernet port and an HDMI 2.0a video output with support for resolutions up to 4k @ 60Hz with which we can use this Box like 4K @ 60fps mediacenter at full resolution.
