The HONOR Pad 9 Pro, a new tablet that improves in several aspects to the HONOR Pad 9 launched in late 2023, has just been presented in China.
A tablet that continues with a 12.1″ screen, although it raises the refresh rate to 144Hz, a larger battery and improvements in wireless connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Its processor also goes up a notch, as the HONOR Pad 9 Pro now includes a MediaTek Dimensity 8100, which replaces the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 we had in the original version. A new SoC that as a reference has a score of 845,000 points in Antutu V9.
The operating system of this Honor tablet is also renewed, since it jumps to Android 14 with the layer of this brand HONOR MagicOS 8. Good improvements for a tablet that continues with the continuist design of its family.
Specifications of the Honor Pad 9 Pro
Inside the Honor Pad 9 Pro we have as main backbone a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC manufactured in 5 nm. An Octa Core chip with high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 processors capable of reaching 2.85 GHz, four ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz and the ARM Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. A processor with more than enough power to run apps without problems and games at medium or low level.
This tablet will come with versions with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 3200Mhz RAM soldered on the board. For storage, we have 256 GB UFS 3.1, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB thanks to the micro SD card reader included.
Display and other notable features
The screen of the Honor Pad 9 Pro is a 12.1-inch IPS with a 2.5K resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with configurable screen refresh of up to 144 Hz, 100% sRGB and light sensor and Hall. In terms of cameras we have a 5 MP front with two microphones and on the back we find another 13 MP. We also have wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
The battery has a capacity of 10050 mAh with an autonomy that can reach up to 14 h depending on use and includes fast charging up to 35 W. The metal body integrates no less than 8 symmetrical Hi-Res speakers and for connectivity we find a single USB Type-C 2.0 port.
