Just presented in China by Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei, the new Honor Pad X8 Pro, a tablet with mid-range specifications with screen refresh that reaches 120 Hz.
A tablet that despite being a mid-range economic has a fairly large screen of 11.5 inches and a metal body that make it look quite premium thanks to its measures of 267.3 x 167.4 x 6.9 mm with a weight of 495 g. Inside we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, an improved version of the Snapdragon 680 that is close to the Snapdragon 888 and above the Mediatek Dimensity 8000, so it has a very decent performance.
The Honor Pad X8 Pro also surprises us with its 6 speakers that are supported by an algorithm for voice enhancement. A pretty interesting tablet in its range with a very interesting price in China, although it will arrive in Europe a bit more expensive.
Specifications of the Honor Pad X8 Pro
Inside the Honor Pad X8 Pro we have as main axis a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC manufactured in 6nm. An Octa Core chip with high-performance ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 2.8 GHz, four ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 1.9 GHz and an Adreno 610 GPU that reaches 614 Mhz. A processor with a power to move apps without problems and games at medium or low level.
In the most interesting versions for price we find 4/6/8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM soldered on the board and for storage we have a version of 128/256 GB eMMC 5.1, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB with the micro SD card reader.
Display and other features
The screen chosen for this tablet is an 11.5-inch IPS type with a Full HD+ resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels with configurable screen refresh of up to 120 Hz, 100% sRGB and 400 nits brightness. As for cameras we have a 5 MP front with two microphones and on the back we find another 5 MP. We also have Wifi aC wireless connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and optional 4G-Lte connectivity.
The battery has a capacity of 7250 mAh with an autonomy that can reach up to 14 h depending on usage and includes 22.5 W fast charging. The body integrates 6 Hi-Res symmetrical speakers and for connectivity we find a single USB Type-C 2.0 port.
The operating system is Android 13 with the Magic UI 7.1 layer.
Price and availability
