Huawei has just presented its new tablet Huawei Honor Waterplay 8 an interesting device that stands out for the incorporation of a double rear camera, something unprecedented until now and that demonstrates the tendency of the intensive use of photography in our daily life. It also has the IP67 certification for dust and splash protection and benefits from the use of turbo GPU technology and the inclusion of a pair of Harman Kardon speakers.
SoC, RAM and storage
Huawei Honor Waterplay 8 includes a SoC Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 an Octa Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching the 2.36Ghz and an ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU that has a maximum speed of 900mhz. It also includes 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64/128GB of storage memory that can be expanded up to 256GB extra thanks to the included microSD card reader.
Screen and other specifications
The screen is an 8-inch IPS with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and 16:10 screen ratio. At the top of the screen we have an 8MP front camera with microphone, light sensor, while in the back we have two 13 + 5MP cameras. At the wireless connectivity level we have Dual Band WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.2. We also have GPS, 5100 mAh battery with fast charge, fingerprint reader and a USB Type-C port. There is also a model with 4G-LTE multiband modem.
The operating system is EMUI 8.1, based on Android 8.1 that includes unlocking by facial recognition.
